Fade In / Out

Smoothly fade audio when starting or stopping noise.

Auto-stop with Timer

Automatically stop playback when the timer ends.

Playback

Fade in / out ramps the volume over roughly a second whenever a sound starts or stops, instead of switching it instantly. Leave it on unless you want an immediate cut — an abrupt start is noticeably harsher on headphones.

Auto-stop with timer decides what happens when a countdown reaches zero. On, playback stops with it, which is what you want for sleep or a fixed work block. Off, the sound carries on and the timer is only a notification.

Where the Pomodoro settings live

They are not here. Which sounds the cycle plays during focus and break phases, and how many rounds run before the long break, all sit on the Pomodoro timer itself — next to the thing they affect, where you can change them and press start without moving.

That page manages its own audio. It stops whatever is playing when you start a cycle and switches the sound at every phase change, which is why it has no sound library on it: the choice you would make there would be overridden a moment later.

What is stored

Every preference on this page — plus the four volume sliders and your last timer length — is written to your browser’s local storage and applied on every page of the site. Nothing is sent anywhere and there is no account.

Clearing site data in your browser resets everything to defaults. See the privacy policy for the full picture.

Common questions

Do my settings follow me to other pages?

Yes. They are saved as you change them and applied on every page, so moving from a sound page to a timer page keeps your volumes, fade setting and Pomodoro configuration.

Do they sync between devices?

No. Storage is local to one browser on one device, because there is no account system. Your phone and your laptop keep separate settings.

How do I reset everything?

Clear this site’s data in your browser. All preferences return to their defaults on the next load.
